Buddha Bowl

Writer: Jen-IrishuJen-Irishu

The name Buddha Bowl might have a very literal origin. Buddha woke up before dawn every morning and carried his bowl through the roads or paths wherever he was staying. Local people would place food in the bowl as a donation, and at the end he would eat whatever he had been given. To this very day Buddhist monks and nuns follow this tradition.

I love this way of eating. Most days a Buddha Bowl will be my lunch. It's very healthy and you can add whatever you wish to your bowl. Make sure it's tasty and colourful. adding all the colours of the rainbow!

From my kitchen to yours in love, Jen xxx
